On 6.5

I had been looking forward to this restaurant for a long time, and it did not disappoint—the food was absolutely delicious! The fried kimchi was a real surpriseso good! The sauce on top had a yoghurt-like taste, which paired perfectly. The wine recommended by the staff was exceptional, and the overall atmosphere and service were fantastic. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Seoul

This place was wonderful! The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Maichi is so sweet and is a great server. The food was not only delicious but also creative and inventive—traditional flavors with a fresh twist. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant. In terms of value for money I believe you get amazing food if you are used to western prices for fine dining experiences. You must order a bottle of wine with dinner, which was fine for us but may put certain people off. The cold noodles and mushroom dumplings were our favourites.

We came in Nov 2024 and was highly impressed by this wine bar. We found it to be quite affordable compared to similar fine dining/wine bars. The wine we choose was fruity and easy to drink. Best part was how Korean and western fusion elements came together. The fried kimchi and dongchimi really let the Korean flavours shine in a refined way. And the uni pasta was perfectly cooked and harnessed so much umami I wanted to lick the plate clean. Only the pork belly was a bit dry because of its cut so a bit more attention to ingredient selection can be made in the future. The service was polite and detailed in both Korean and English. Only improvement I can think of is more actively engaging with customers in selecting their wine and pairings given it’s a wine bar and the drink order is compulsory (although I liked not having the pressure to choose anything I couldn’t afford). 5 stars despite some small improvement points as the decor of the place really made the experience very special. It’s a place that draws you back time and time again, so I would come back next time I’m in Seoul to try some new dishes on the menu. This place is definitely on its way to becoming a one starred restaurant.

Booking in advance is strongly advised, as the restaurant is intimate in size and consistently in high demand due to its stellar reputation.

10/10 ⭐ My new favorite restaurant in Seoul! First, the exterior and interior of On6.5 is absolutely stunning. We arrived at 6pm and the sun was just going down, so we were able to see the restaurant when it was bright out and when it was dark out. The vibes in the evening were so beautiful. Perfect for a date night or a chill night out with friends. Second, the food!! Amazing. Every dish was so thoughtfully curated and incorporated kimchi in such a unique way. We were blown away by every dish. This is a luxurious hanok wine bar, so you can't forget the alcohol pairing. We enjoyed a nice chardonnay with our dinner and it was spectacular. Third, the staff was very attentive and they spoke Korean and English fluently. They made sure to explain each dish when they served us, and they were very friendly and professional. I'd definitely come back to try their other dishes and if I have any friends visiting Seoul, this would be my #1 spot to take them out for a nice, unique Korean meal. :)

Beautiful experience in a lovely setting. The menu is limited but very exciting. The wine list is very well curated. We enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a western meal that's very korean at heart.
